"There is more to life than real estate!" Tim Ray, a lifetime Spokane resident, has been one of the top real estate professionals in the area since 1988 and is truly Spokane's Number One Expert. Tim has consistently been a top producer who focuses on providing the best personal service available in his market. His outstanding Buyer Services include the finest Spokane Relocation Package available, the exclusive 42 page Spokane Schools 2008 Report, The Daily Hotsheet (an automated daily e-mail with every new listing that meets his clients needs), and the spectacular F.S.B.O. (For Serious Buyers Only) Program that allows his clients to do their own MLS searches. For Sellers, Tim has assembled an incredible marketing program that includes 4 page full color brochures, full color direct mail campaigns, all full color magazine advertising, 5 different virtual tours with exposure on over 15 websites, and much more! His efforts have more than paid off. He has finished the year in the Top Ten for Sales Side Volume 4 times in the Spokane Association of Realtors (out of 2200 agents) and is consistently in the Top 3% of all Realtors. For the most innovative marketing and sales services in the Inland Empire, call Tim Ray and The Specialist Group Toll Free at 800-711-3965. Personally, Tim has many hobbies and passions. He is married to his beautiful wife and "partner-in-crime", Lara. Tim and Lara have a total of 6 children (!), three boys and three girls. Yes, they have heard the jokes.... Fishing, crabbing, baseball, football, computers, music lessons, school activities, play dates, travelling, cleaning the house (?), and cooking are some of their favorite passtimes. Tim is an avowed "wine geek", and loves travelling to wine country. Several trips to the Sonoma/Napa area, Santa Barbara County, Walla Walla Valley, and Red Mountain/Columbia valley have fed this love, increased his collection, and decreased his bank account.... If you need a good wine recommendation, drop him a line! Tim is a music freak and plays all types of drums and percussion instruments. He studied drums privately for 10 years with legendary teacher Ed Brown, and has also studied piano, mallet percussion, and even drove 275 miles every month to Seattle to study Latin percussion with reknowned percussionist Gary Harding. Before real estate, Tim played professionally for several different groups and from the age of 15 taught privately at Ed Brown's Professional Drum Center. From 1983 to 1988 he also taught marching percussion at several local schools, including Mead High School, Shadle Park High School, Central Valley High School, East Valley High School, Deer Park High School, Riverside High School, and Moses Lake High School. These duties included writing, arranging, and teaching the "book" to up to 25 member percussion sections. If you want to get Tim excited, talk about DCI (Drum Corps International)! REAL drum corps is like a Broadway show on a football field. If you have never experienced a Top 12 caliber show, you don't know what you are missing! Tim is also a member of Life Center North Church. He has given his time as a drummer/percussionist with several area worship teams and has recorded studio projects with a few different churches and worship leaders. If you are in the Spokane area, he warmly invites you to come visit Life Center North! They are a casual, fun, and contemporary church family. LCN is located at 202 E. Lyons in north Spokane, inside the old Lyons Avenue Cinemas. Sunday worship services are at 9:00 and 11:00, although Tim and his family can usually be found at the "Saturday Night Life" worship service, which is Saturday nights at 6:00pm. Come and join us. We would love to see you there! While Tim absolutely loves real estate and serving his friends and clients to the best of his ability, he strives to keep personal balance and harmony in his life, knowing there is a lot more to life than real estate. As a wise friend once told him, "Don't get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life!" This is great advice for us all. Blessings!

Selling Your Home >A Buyers or Sellers Market
If you are going to sell your present home, the market conditions will play a crucial role in determining the asking price. Market conditions change constantly, so it is important that you get solid advice from a professional who is familiar with your specific area.
A good real estate agent will know how houses in your area are selling, as well as the other factors that may influence the sale. Nearby commercial development, which may create congestion and noise, may also mean a greater demand for housing from people who will be working in the new office buildings. A new bus route that cuts commuting time could make your home more valuable and highways close by can be an issue with the price. The economic conditions have a strong impact on the real estate market. Real estate professionals can help you consider all of the issues and assist you in setting a fair price for your home.
